Notes from our Church Leaders
Hello Everyone,
Spring has sprung! And, as we look around, we see new beginnings everywhere. God is so incredible in His awesome power to keep this cycle of rejuvenation and life in constant motion.
Life here at First B. is also in a state of rejuvenation and motion. We see Jesus growing our church. He continues to bless us with bringing folks through the doors, eager to hear the Word, fellowship together, find a friend or maybe just looking. It is with a new set of doors that we (the Pastoral staff, Elders and the congregation) have been discussing, in which to welcome people through.
Our church building is and has been a great tool used to build upon God’s foundation. As with all tools, they need to be kept in good repair, sharpened and honed, sometimes needing new parts. Building God’s Way (BGW) has been assisting in the honing and adding new parts to our church. At this point we have done some preliminary plans had a charrett to gather ideas and have generated a set of drawings from which to begin. It is the hope and intent of the folks involved in this process to have some visual material ready to present to the congregation in the latter part of May. THIS IS EXCITING!!!
As part of the process there are some new committees being formed to assist in moving forward. One very important committee that is needed is a LEAD COORDINATION TEAM. This will be a front line position that will be the point contact for BGW, the Congregation, the Pastoral staff and the Elders. We are in earnest prayer that an individual(s) have it placed on their hearts to serve in this capacity. If you feel this is an area that God has gifted you to serve in please contact the Elder Board.
We continue to work with BGW in the areas of informational surveys, fund raising, and communication and vision. Again, as this is a congregational undertaking, please contact the Elder board to ask how you can use the wonderful gifts God has given to you, to help see our building expansion become a reality.
You have been my refuge, a strong tower against my foe. Psalm 61:3
