ABC: One Two Three from Proverbs First B Jackson 2024-05-12 Automatically transcribed. Where this and the recording disagree, the recording is the record. ---- Hey. Good morning, everybody. How are doing? Happy Mother's Day, mothers, and happy Mother's Day to my mom. Love you, mom. And would you stand with me? I'd love love to worship together in song. Here's an encouraging word from Psalm 95. To lead us into worship, it's come to the Lord with thanksgiving. Lord, we are thankful. And let's sing psalms of praise to him. Would you join us in singing, how great thou art, then sings my soul. Oh, Lord, my God. When I am an awesome wonder, consider all the world's thy hand of me. And I see the stars. I hear the rolling thunder that pop throughout the universe displayed. You know savior God to thee. How great thou art, how great thou art. When through the woods and forest maids, I wonder and hear the birds sing sweetly in the tree. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and see the breath and feel the gentle breath and sings my soul, my savior God to thee. How great thou art. How great thou art. And sings my soul, my savior God, thee. How great thou art. How great thou art. And when I think that goddess I'm not sparing, sent him to die, I scarce can take it. That on that cross, We've got a few announcements, and we will learn what they are together. Volunteers for the connect hour, that's a perpetual one because we have it every week. In between services, there's a little breakfast set up in between, so we can get to know the second service folks so we don't become two different churches and just so you all can congregate fellowship and have some coffee and a good time. So down the hall, if you would like to kinda set that up, get that ready, you can contact Addy Hare. She's the one in charge of it or just sign your name up and she will contact you. How about that? Vacation Bible School is coming June 24 through the twenty seventh. Pre k through sixth grade, you can sign up online, or there's an actual sheet out there in the vestibule that you can sign up, analog if you want to. Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid. We're building towards it. If you want to be a volunteer, there's still space available for that, and there's still space for more kids. We are doing a potluck for Jean DeMarsh. She is moving to Bellingham, Washington soon for Friday, May 17, 05:30 in the hall. No gifts please, but it is a potluck, so you can bring something to eat if you'd like to. Faithful witness. This lady's I don't think she'd mind me saying. I think she's 96 years And Joni, her daughter moved to Bellingham and she thought surely by Christmas, Joni will be begging to come back home and live in here. And what happened was she realized she missed Joni and she's going to be with her. So sweet. Church cleanup day. Tim wants to make this announcement. Tim Dalton is in charge of property and grounds here at First B. He's on our board of trustees. There you go. Thank you. Well, next weekend we have a special day you don't wanna miss and and I know there's always a lot of copy. Sorry to hear you. I don't like the microphone. The competition for these events. So this is gonna be the double exciting, happy, happy, happy, great times workday. And that and that's gonna be next Saturday from 9AM to one. And we're gonna have a numerous task for people to do. We're gonna be painting our fence out here. We're gonna be hopefully putting in some windows, putting up a new church sign, and cleaning cleaning tables, etcetera. And I'm gonna be down in the fellowship hall afterwards for a sign up. So I I kinda want if you'd wanna sign up for a certain task, it just helps me know, you know, what what I need and who's gonna be doing that. And also, if you feel comfortable leading something like that, also talk to me, please. We're gonna be serving pizza afterwards, after it's done. And and if you if you have any tools you want to bring that for the particular task that may be helpful, I'm gonna try to have most everything we need, though. And then one thing I wanted to add too. You know, there's there's a if you look around, there's a lot of miscellaneous church projects that need to be done. Some get done, some are slower to get done. And if you have any particular skill you'd wanna volunteer for or get a group together and do, like a small group or something like that, feel free to see me or get Diane to give you my number and give me a call. So anyway, we'll see you next Saturday, the eighteenth, and come down to the to the fellowship hall and sign up. Very good. Nine to one is the plan. Thank you. Tim's got a good idea what needs to happen, so he's really good at being project manager. Thank you, Tim, for doing that. And happy Mother's Day. Thank you all for being here. Yeah. Go ahead. For your moms, come on. I think that hey, look at there. Nick. Last night, the Aurora Borealis, he went out and they went out and took a few pictures, and he actually took this one live last night. I am very very thankful for my mom and in this job, I get to walk through what Rich Stig used to call hatching, matching and dispatch. And I do a lot of weddings and I do a lot of funerals and and I'm there for a lot of birth. And all of those things have such incredible gravity. And so right now, in the past week, I've talked to people who've lost their grandmother and lost their mother, and I've talked to a mother who lost a child. And I've talked to a mother who lost a child this week. And so when considering Mother's Day and considering sermon and considering what you talk about, I thank you all. Thank you, mamas. Thank you for loving so well. And I pray that we all together would appreciate one another and the the gift of life that has been given. Speaking of that, I'm gonna ask Tyler and Emily Stahl to come forward. Emily Fates Stahl and little Maureen May Stahl. Isn't she cute? Well, welcome to Emily and Tyler. And y'all most of y'all know Emily because you've been around her and Tyler is the quiet cowboy that y'all probably haven't spoken to very much. But thankful for this. They are coming today to give thanks for Maureen May, named after Emily's precious mama that a lot of y'all know that we lost in 2022. We're also so we're dedicating Maureen May to the Lord, praying that she would come to know and serve him well. We also are dedicating Tyler and Emily to God, asking that he would give them the wisdom that they need, the understanding and the knowledge to be able to raise Maureen May in the way of the Lord. And as a church, we want to dedicate ourselves to setting a godly example for Maureen May, so that she might one day come to trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. But also, this is for you Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, this is sort of a dry baptism. Okay? This is that moment where we dedicate her and her parents to the Lord. So we're dedicating this little girl to the Lord, praying that she'd come to know and serve, dedicating these parents, dedicating ourselves as a church family. I've got a couple of readings that I think are appropriate. Not to mention the inappropriate one I did a few years ago. Train up your children in the way that they should go. And when they're older, they will not depart from it. Psalm one thirty that was Proverbs twenty two six, not Psalm twenty two six. Oh Lord, you have examined my heart, Psalm one thirty nine, and you know everything about me. God knows every cell in this baby's body. You know when I sit up, when I stand up, when I sit down, you know my thoughts even when I'm far away and you see me when I travel and when I rest at home, you know everything I do. You know what I'm gonna say even before I say it, Lord? You go before me and you follow me, you place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It's too great for me to understand. And then there's the good old Deuteronomy six where it says, listen up, oh people of God. The Lord is our God, the Lord alone, and you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I've given you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you're at home, and when you're on the road, and when you're going to bed, and when you're getting up. So with that, Tyler and Emily, do you recognize that Maureen May is a gift from God? And do both of you thank God and glorify him for the gift of this little daughter? Amen. Do you accept the joys and the responsibilities of parenting, promising to give proper love and care to Maureen May throughout her life? We do. Amen. With the help that God provides, do you commit to teach Maureen May the fullness of God's word and demonstrate through your own example and witness what it means to love God with all your heart and all of your soul and all of your strength? Amen. And now, will you offer your ongoing love and support and prayers and encouragement to Tyler and Emily in their role as Maureen May's parents? We will. How about a we will? Alright. Will you also be faithful in praying for Maureen Maureen May and as much as you are able, help to teach and set a godly example for her so that she might one day come to trust in Christ as her lord and savior. Will you? Amen. Well, may I pray for her and lay hands on her head here. Maureen May, may the Lord bless you and keep you and may the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you and may the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace. In Jesus name, amen. Amen. Amen. So sweet. Alright. Y'all can stand. Thank you. Thank you. I sing to you and my heart cries holy. Hallelujah. Father, you are near. Let's sing our hopes selfishness. You show me grace. I worship you and my heart grows holy. Father, are drought or storm. Fees that passes understanding. Here's my song I sing. My hope is in you My hope is in below all the day long. Now I won't be shaken by drought or storm. Feast that passes Waiting is tough, isn't it? But I wanna share a little word of encouragement here from Isaiah 40 about waiting, and specifically waiting on the Lord. It's yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength. And some of us really need that today. Some of us need new strength today. They'll mount up with wings like eagles, run and not get tired and walk and not become weary. Lord, help us to wait patiently for you, and I thank you, Lord, for being so close, so near, so present with us. In Jesus' name, amen. I love you, Lord, for your mercy never fails me. All my days, I've been held in your hands. From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head, I will sing of the goodness of God. Let's sing of his faithfulness. And all my life you have been faithful. All my life, you have been so, so good. Every breath that I'm able, I will sing of the goodness of God. I love your voice. I love your voice. You have led me through the fire. In darkest night, you were close like no other. I've known you as a father. Known you as a friend. And now you've lived in the goodness of God. And all my Your goodness running after me in all my life. And all my life, you have been faithful. All my life you have been so so good. Every breath that I'm able, I will sing of the Before the throne of God above, I have a strong and perfectly, a great high priest whose name is love. Whoever lives and pleads for me. And my name is graven on his hand. My name is written on his heart. I know that while in heaven, he stands. No tongue can the one risen son of God. You can have a seat here for a moment. This is the worship through giving part of the service. I'll invite our ushers to come on forward, and we're gonna sing a song of gratitude, gratefulness from first Thessalonians five. This will sound familiar. It's rejoice always and pray continually. Give thanks in all circumstances. Why are we to do that? It goes on to say that this is God's will for us in Christ. But before we sing, Ray, may I ask you to pray? Sure. God, thank you for what a beautiful morning, Lord, for what a beautiful week, varied week we had. Lord God almighty, you are evident all around us, and we are grateful, amazed even to stand here this morning together, gathered in your name and knowing that we're in your presence here and as we walk about, as we ride about, as we go, as the Psalm said, when we stand up and when we sit down, Lord, you're with us. God, would you help us help us to recognize that fact, to take comfort in that fact, to rest in that fact, and then Lord, would you allow it to be so natural for us to be acting out what it is that we know. Comfort and rest and peace and love and forgiveness and mercy and grace in Christ. So much so that that a world that is not at rest sees you and and the folks who are here gathered in your name and every church in this valley. Lord, I pray that we would be an effective witness as the summer comes on and we we are surrounded seven to one with outsiders, Lord, I pray that that we would be a ministering witness, humble and obedient servants doing your will and your way. Would you show us, Lord, what you'd have us do and empower us to do it in all humility and grace. Amen. I could sing these songs as I often do. But every song must end, I've got one with swans. I've got just one With my arms stretched wide, I will worship. So I throw all my hands, praise you again and again. Amen. And it's time for children's church. I hope sometimes I say that and I think I hope we're doing that today. And the slide comes up. We're doing that today. Good. Mother's Day. ABC. Who taught you your ABCs? Kindergarten teacher, really? Come on. My mom my mom taught me my ABCs. Really early, actually. Not as much because I'm smart, it's because she's persistent. But I have there's a lore, legendary story in the family where I was sitting at breakfast with my aunt Beverly at very early, very very early. And I said, r I c e k r I s p I e s. And my aunt is somewhat Pentecostal. She said, come get this boy, Sue. He shouldn't be able to do this at this age. Not exactly that, but real close to that, pretty close to that. ABCs, your mom probably taught you ABCs or got a good start on it. Right? ABC, and I'm a child of the seventies, easy as one, two, three. As I was going over this week, I have been planning, I've been telling y'all I'm planning a sermon series on repentance, and I've been digging in and trying to make a case for the Bible, and I was going to make a case for you can trust what it says, and I've got a long list of vices, and now I'm going to go into just full bore repentance, and now it's Mother's Day. The last time Mother's Day rolled around, two two times ago, we were going through Revelation, and Mother's Day landed on the seven bowls of the mighty wrath of God. Another time, I could not get away from it, so I did it and it was early on. In 2014, we were just finishing the book of James, which is the most gracious and motherly, dare I say, advice. And so I thought, this makes perfect sense. I'm going to get up and I'm going to sing a song, and I sang Simple Man by Leonard Skynyrd. This is great motherly advice. Right? And a couple of years ago, probably it's been about five years ago now. I went back and looked for all these. I sang Mama Trap by Merle Haggard. You know how many songs there are about about people where their mother tried to raise them right, but they refused? Johnny Cash, a man in Reno just to watch him die. After mama said, don't play with guns. Right? There are lots and lots and lots of these things. I'm going to go to Proverbs one, two, and three this morning. It's beautiful. And it's sort of like just a cleansing bath. Okay? Consider we're going to soak in scripture this morning and we're going go through it. I actually, not just a b c e's, it's one two three from Proverbs one two three, just to let it rhyme. We're going to use NLT. How about that? We could have said k j v, but NLT is right there. I'm used to reading Proverbs in the New King James version because that's what I grew up with and that's what I have it sort of. If I have any of them memorized, that's what it's in. But I wanted to look at it fresh and new in common parlance, normal like your mama would tell you this morning. So here we are, a b c. We'll just start with Proverbs one. I'm not going to go through the whole proverb. I'm going to go through the positive beginnings and then I'll let you all explore the negative outcomes if you resist. Okay? But I wanted to keep it kinda light. So here we are, Proverbs one. These are the proverbs of Solomon, David's son, king of Israel. Who's his mama? Really? We have a knife we call it. It's it's it's with a z. Oh, goodness. Maybe I'm wrong. It's Bathsheba. Bathsheba. It's Bathsheba. Yeah. So Bathsheba is his mom. And do you think that Bathsheba had learned any lessons that she wanted to pass along? Yes. Now, Solomon, asking for wisdom had a lot of experience that taught him a lot. When he comes back around after having many of those experiences, he's writing down Proverbs, and he's writing down Ecclesiastes. And he's understanding it. But he compiled all of these. He saw the error of his dad's ways. He saw the wisdom in a lot of a lot of mothers around him. And he took these and compiled them all. And he says what the purpose is. And I'm taking this again as sort of motherly advice and he'll mention that several times. The other thing I do, when I come upon a season where I'm gonna do something topical, which I don't do very often, as I go back and see if I preached it before, the first eight slides are exactly the first eight slides from a few years ago. You can't get away from the wisdom of your mom. It's going to pursue you. There's a reason why. How do you feel about your mother? Is the typical question for a therapist. Right? Consider that there is love there that you probably don't understand before you ever even knew. Now, these proverbs, their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them to understand insights insights of the wise. Pascal did a a little teaching yesterday or this week at the classical school and she said it was a wise person that could learn from the mistakes of other people instead of having to make them themselves. Right? The purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline so they don't have to make the mistakes themselves. To help them understand the insights of the wise. If Solomon was the wisest guy ever, we probably ought to listen to him. Their purpose, these proverbs compiled together, their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives. And we know from Hebrews that no discipline is pleasant at the time. Right? But disciplined and successful lives to help them do what is right and just and fair. And these proverbs will give insight to the simple. Do you all remember anything simple that you did as a child? Something that was so simple that your mother looked upon it and said, that's the craziest thing anyone has ever done. Right? That steady, loving, presence of I I still have things ringing in my head that my mother said. One thing about I I think I made fun of somebody who spoke broken English. Right? And I I kind of and now that's unconscionable for me now. But what I hear in my head is my mother saying, Ray, that means they speak more than one language. How many do you speak? I remember her pointing out poor examples, people to learn from and saying, we're praying for God to bless them. But that's what happens when da da da da da. Right? That's a very gentle disciplined way, a loving the proverbs will give insight to the simple. That looks like fun. Yeah. But it's deadly. Right? The proverbs will give insight to the simple knowledge and discernment to the young. Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive the guidance. Mama tried to raise me right, but I refused. By exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles, you will become wise. If you don't know already, Proverbs has 31 chapters in it. Early on, one of the earliest Bible study programs that I had in my life introduced to me by my mother was there are thirty one days and a lot of months, I can't remember the rhyme. But there are 31 proverbs and you can read one a day, on the day. If you forget, you wake up, oh, today? Today's today's the twelfth. Is that right? You can read the twelfth proverb. Right? Oh, that's good. By exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, it's a disciplined way of doing things and I learned it from there. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge. It's the beginning of wisdom. Right? Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge but fools despise wisdom and discipline. How many of you all just loved school? I did not love school. I remember the first time noticing a wrinkle, it was the day after graduation because my face was stuck like this. I hated school. I loved art school. I hated school. It's still, though I despised it, the discipline of having to do it every day. There's something about getting up and going, man, mama making me, that taught me a lot. My child, how motherly? Listen when your father corrects you. It's a different relationship obviously, mother and father is a different relationship. But my child, listen when your father corrects you and don't neglect your mother's instruction. If you do so, you do so to your peril. I know that there are examples of abuse and I know that there are examples, but this is the general rule. Your mama loves you, she cares about you, she's looking out for you. Don't neglect her instruction. What you learn from your parents will crown you with grace. That's unmerited favor. You will be crowned with unmerited favor, and it will be a chain or a necklace of honor around your neck. Listen to what they say to you. Proverbs two. My child, listen to what I say and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom and concentrate on understanding. I did always like to learn. I just didn't really like school. Right? Concentrate on getting out of it because education is available for every person if you concentrate on understanding. Tune your ears to the wisdom. Cry out for insight. Don't mind raising your hand. Don't mind asking a question. Ask for understanding. They'll help you. My goodness, if somebody has this is for teachers right here. If somebody has employed themselves in teaching and they're making terrible pay and have all kinds of aggravating situation children around them all the time. They want to teach you. Cry out for insight. You're older than I am. You're wiser than I am. Show me how this works. Ask for understanding. Search them out as you would silver. Seek them out like hidden treasures. Amen. And then, you'll understand what it means to fear the Lord and you will gain knowledge of God for the Lord grants wisdom. How did Solomon know this? What do we know about Solomon? He asked for what? God said, ask anything. Ask for anything. And he said, what I want is wisdom. And God gave it to him. Wisest man ever. The Lord grants wisdom. He will give you wisdom if you will ask for it. So here we go. For from out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Amen. So what should we do? Not just live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds forth from the mouth of God. Pay attention to his word. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. Amen. In a day where truth is questioned or alternative truths in quotes, are taking the taking their the place of absolute truth. Think about this. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. Dwell on that for a minute. If I am honest, I have to humble myself before God. And that's where I gain understanding. He's a shield to all of those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just, and he protects those who are faithful to him. Does it mean that you are bulletproof? No. Does it mean that your call to serve him will not end in a way that's difficult to explain on earth? No. But he does protect eternally those who are faithful to him. And then, you'll understand what's right, you'll understand what's just, you'll understand what's fair, and you'll be able to live that out. You'll find the right way to go for wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will fill you with joy. Amen. Wise choices will watch over you and understand and will keep you safe. Renzi, when he was here as the youth director, he's he was very fond of saying good decisions people. Good decisions. Just good decisions. That's all I'm asking for. And Mike follows that up, our youth director, now with, there's no new news. There's only old news happening to new people that aren't willing to listen to instruction. Wise choices will watch over you. Make good decisions. Understanding will keep you safe. Here we are at Proverbs three. That was easy this morning. My child, never forget the things that I've taught you. Store up my commands in your heart. Country song just popped in my head. Sorry. It's called If I Could Hear Mama Pray Again. It's a good one. I knew a fellow in town, the town that I grew up in that that would sing this. Any gathering we got around, he would grab the microphone and kind of bellow this. But he missed his mother and he remembered, it sounds like he remembered everything she ever said. He didn't always go by, but my child never forget the things that I've taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you'll live many years. Your life will be satisfying. Again, it's a general rule. It's not always always hard and fast promise. If you do this, you'll live many years, your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you. It's important to be loyal. One of the past mother's days was just as simple as can be, honor your father and mother. She may not always be right, but she will always be your mother. Honor your father and mother. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you. Tie them around your neck as a reminder and write them deep within your heart. Then, you'll find favor with God and with people and you will earn a good reputation. The New Testament says, we are supposed to have reputation with outsiders. I'll tell you what, loyalty and kindness goes a long way in earning a good reputation. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. That seems to go against wisdom, doesn't it? Well, I've got this much understanding. The more you know, the more you know how finite you are. The more you know how finite you are, the more you appreciate an infinite God. So trust in the Lord with all your heart because he is good and he is righteous and he is not fickle. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. And my heart can go either way depending on how hungry I am. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all that you do. Lord, may it be so But I care more about your will than my will. Seek his will in all you do and he'll show you which path to take. Reminds me of another proverb later on that says, commit your ways to the Lord and he will establish your steps. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Does that sound like your mama? You're a little too big for your britches there. Right? Sounds like a lot of people actually. I've heard that one a lot. Don't be too impressed with yourself. You believe in your own press. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. There are limits to what you know. There are limits to your scope. You don't understand it all. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. There will be opportunity. Evil will be knocking. Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Don't try to justify it when you're doing something wrong. Fear the Lord, turn away from evil, and then you'll have healing for your body, you'll have strength for your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth. Honor the Lord with your wealth. If he blesses you with wealth, honor him with that and with the best part of everything you produce. If you're a thinker that you just dwell on and you think about and you contemplate things and you get to the depth of it, honor God with that. Study the things of God. If you are eloquent and able to express things that God has given you understanding, please use that for him. If you have resources, honor the Lord with those resources. Thank you, Tim for being the guy on the property and grounds, but also for asking people, hey, if you've got a specific thing that you're good at, that you're gifted with, here's an opportunity to use it. It's wonderful. Honor the Lord with your wealth of knowledge, with your wealth, with the best part of everything you produce, and then he'll fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. He has good gifts. My child, don't reject the Lord's discipline and don't be upset when he corrects you. That was the hardest thing for me. Well, maybe not from the Lord, just when anybody corrected me. I don't like to be corrected. Like, I hated it. I really hated for somebody to get on to me and it didn't really matter who it was. And I got in a lot of fights because of that with other kids and with other other people and stayed mad at teachers sometimes, but not rejecting discipline. It's not pleasant at the time. It's important though. Discipline is important to all of us. Would you say that it feels like we as a people are less disciplined than we used to be? Is it problematic? Incredibly so. Don't reject the Lord's discipline and don't be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. Thank you lord that you have a loving rebuke. Thank you that you will show us who you are, that you've given us propositional truth, you've given us this book, you've given us a list of things that are dangerous for us, that we can walk away from. Thank you for giving us caretakers for loving parents and church folk, elders, friends who will call us out. In Jesus name, may we be soft and gentle with each other but also truthful and loving. Amen. The Lord corrects those he loves just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. Joyful is the person who finds wisdom. The one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, her wages are better than gold, wisdom is more precious than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with wisdom. She offers you long life in her right hand, riches and honor in her left. She'll guide you down delightful paths. All of her ways are satisfying. If you walk in wisdom, your path will be satisfying. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who will embrace her and happy are those who hold her tightly. Hold on to wisdom. I think a tree of life, it goes all the back to the garden. Right? You've got the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that is what we want to go after. All of us as humans, guilty originally and by choice, we go after. And we want to test our boundaries, we want to step, but wisdom says there's also a tree of life here that's available and that is in wisdom. It's in listening to God. I've presented as listening to your mama. But that tree of life is wisdom. Holding on to it, it is applied knowledge, learning, and then being able to live out of that. And I think that's the last slide. God help us. I wanna close with this. If you're not in a great place of relationship with your mom, and you're here this morning, would you consider just forgiving her outright? If you're a mama. And you know you're not at a great place with one of your kids. Would you consider forgiving them outright? In Jesus name, Lord, I pray that we would be walking in humility and grace, that we would accept the discipline that you've given, that the pains of loss both of loss of mothers and loss of children, that those pains would not define who we are, that it would be with us because it matters but at the same time lord that we'd be able to walk in holiness and we'd be able to recognize how precious every moment of life we have is. Would you allow us to seek out understanding and pursue the things that make for peace? In Jesus name, we ask the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is active and actively working right now to convert these words on these screens in your word into our hearts and on our path. Would you help us lord to walk it out in Jesus name? Amen. Now, would you stand with us and we're gonna close with a song. Is found is where you are. Lord, I am free. The holiness is Amen. Let's hang back with Proverbs three five and six. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. It may go against everything that you feel, but trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lord, I'm trusting you. Don't depend on your own understanding because it's limited and finite. Seek his will and all that you do and he'll show you which path to take. Lord, would you show us? Amen.
