Scripture referenced 2 passages

The passage this message was preached from, in full, with every other passage it reached for.

  • John 17:20-26 read aloud and preached on as the main text about Christ's desire for believers' unity

20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who will believe in me through their word,

21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.

    22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;

23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.

24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.

26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Acts 4

cited to illustrate that Peter and John, though unschooled, had been with Jesus and the glory of God was evident among them

1 As they spoke to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came to them,

2 being upset because they taught the people and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 They laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was now evening.

4 But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

5 In the morning, their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem.

6 Annas the high priest was there, with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and as many as were relatives of the high priest.

7 When they had stood Peter and John in the middle of them, they inquired, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?”

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

9 if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,

10 be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole.

11 He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’

12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.

14 Seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? Because indeed a notable miracle has been done through them, as can be plainly seen by all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we can’t deny it.

17 But so that this spreads no further among the people, let’s threaten them, that from now on they don’t speak to anyone in this name.”

18 They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,

20 for we can’t help telling the things which we saw and heard.”

21 When they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people; for everyone glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man on whom this miracle of healing was performed was more than forty years old.

23 Being let go, they came to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

24 When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, “O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

25 who by the mouth of your servant, David, said, ‘Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

26 The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’

27 “For truly, in this city against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

28 to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

29 Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,

30 while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus.”

31 When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

32 The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

33 With great power, the apostles gave their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Great grace was on them all.

34 For neither was there among them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet, and distribution was made to each, according as anyone had need.

36 Joses, who by the apostles was also called Barnabas (which is, being interpreted, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a man of Cyprus by race,

37 having a field, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Recap

The message in order, in a few minutes of reading.

Pastor Joseph Kamau Kabui, from Tigone Baptist Church in Limuru, Kenya, preached from John 17:20-26, the prayer Jesus prayed for all future believers on the night before the crucifixion. He focused on one thread running through that passage: Jesus' desire that his people would be one, just as the Father and the Son are one.

What was said

Pastor Kamau began by placing the passage in context. In John chapters 13 through 16, Jesus had been telling his disciples that his time with them was ending. Then in chapter 17 he prayed, and unlike the solitary prayer in Gethsemane recorded in the other Gospels, this one was spoken where the disciples could hear every word. The section he preached from is the part of that prayer Jesus directed toward those who would believe through the disciples' message, which includes everyone sitting in the room that morning.

The first reason Pastor Kamau drew from the text for why Jesus prayed for unity is that genuine unity among believers demonstrates real knowledge of God. He used a saying common in Africa, "I am because we are," to illustrate the idea: people are drawn together around someone they share in common. If believers truly know God, others who are drawn to God will gather around that same center, and the unity that results is not a product of human effort but of who God is.

The second reason is that this unity shows the world something about Christ himself. Drawing from verse 21, he pointed to the claim that when believers live as one, the world sees evidence that Jesus actually came from God. He reached back to Acts chapter 4, where religious leaders looked at Peter and John and could only conclude that these unschooled men had been with Jesus. That visible mark, he said, is what unity produces.

The third reason Pastor Kamau identified is that unity becomes a form of evangelism. Most people, he said, think of evangelism as going out to tell. But the world can come to know Jesus simply by watching how believers live together. When people see genuine oneness among Christians, they see that Jesus is Lord. Unity, in his words, is itself a witness.

The fourth reason looks toward eternity. Jesus prays in verse 24 that those the Father has given him would be with him and see his glory. Pastor Kamau connected this to unity in a way that drew some warmth from the room: all believers are headed to the same place, so the practical conclusion is that we had better learn to love one another now, because we will be together forever regardless.

Pastor E then stepped back to the text for the benediction. He pointed out the tension Paul works with in his letters: the indicative and the imperative. In Christ, believers already are one. That is the indicative, the given reality. The imperative is simply to be what we already are. His charge was to reach across whatever distance separates people and act on the unity that Jesus died praying for.

Doing a Bible study?

Here is a guide we have prepared for you: the passages in order, questions for the group, and room to write.

  1. Pastor Kamau mentioned an African saying, 'I am because we are.' What does that idea bring to mind from your own experience of community, and where do you see it reflected or missing in church life?
  2. Pastor Kamau pointed to Acts chapter 4, where the religious leaders noticed that Peter and John had been with Jesus even though they were not schooled. What does it look like in daily life for people around us to see that kind of mark on us?

Joseph Kamau KabuiWell, I tell you what, the pass is closed. So I heard from several of the folks who normally are here that they usually would be here. They said they're gonna watch from home this week. So we actually have small choir with us this morning. Soprano, alto, tenor, and bass, and we're going to go with that.
This is Emily, you all know, but these are your folks. Right?
Speaker 3Yep.
Joseph Kamau KabuiOkay. She said, I brought you a tenor and an alto. But I made an assumption. We're gonna if you would stand with us. Josh, is this thing on?
It's on. Okay. If you'll stand with us, we're gonna start off with He Keeps Me Singing, hymn number seven forty six. If you could cancel that queue up there. Josh should make it easier to read.
We're having some slight technical difficulties this morning. But there we go. Okay. Amen. There's another verse, but we'll we'll just let it ride.
Blessed assurance. Here we go. Blessed assurance. Hymn number five seventy two. Amen.
Ain't it nice to have a a family of singers up here. This a blessing for me this morning. I think it's time for the announcements. This morning, I was very surprised. Y'all can have a seat.
Sorry. This morning, I was very surprised because scout oh, gracious. There. There he is.
Speaker 3Hi, everybody. Oh, I got a microphone now. Great. How look at all these beautiful people here. Is that Roseanne Welch?
Wow. Hi, Roseanne. Hey. I'm Scout. I was the VBS mascot this week, and I just wanna let you know with a great news that we had this week.
We had over 95 kids come to attendance. Let's give it a round of applause for that. Wow. Fantastic. Yeah.
And $873 were raised for the Benevolence Fund. Thank you everybody who contributed. That's great. And we wanna say a special thank you to all the volunteers who helped out in so many ways, especially helping to clean up. Nobody likes that one.
That was great. And to the Jordans for all their hard work. Let's give a round of applause to them. Yeah. Yeah.
That was great. Good job. Okay. I'm gonna go now. We'll see you, Ray.
Joseph Kamau KabuiThanks, Scott.
Speaker 3Okay. Bye. Bye, Roseanne.
Joseph Kamau KabuiOh my goodness. Forty years forty years of Compass Women's Care. It's been named other things a couple of different times, but Compass Women's Care celebrating their fortieth year anniversary with a gala event on July 10 at 05:00 in the evening. If you'd like to register, friendsofcompass.orgfortieth/fortieth is the way to get there. The church has a table, and I there may still be slots.
I'm not sure at that table. But if you'd like to go, we'll find a place to put you. I promise. So gala event, July 10, 5PM for Compass, forty years of taking care of women in a difficult situation. So there you go.
First BBQ. First BBQ. First BBQ is happening. July 13 is the next one. We're doing this once a month.
On the same Sunday that we do this, we'll set up out here. The same Sunday that we do this, miss Crystal is on. Yeah. Downstairs, there's children's children's church. The whole children's church apparatus will begin and go each one of these Sundays.
So first BBQ, July 13. In between services, we'll set up chairs and tables and grills, and we'll have food, fun, fellowship out there between the services that lingers into this one. But first BBQ is happening. Seeking truth in your twenties. This is a Bible study slash hangout that started last week, Sunday nights at 06:30.
It's at the McCooey's place out behind the airport. And they had a just a grand turnout of 20 seeking truth in your twenties college group from high school seniors graduated up through college. And what to expect is live music and food, games, bonfires, some authentic discussions, and learning the truth about Jesus, and they wanted to say, there's no cover charge. Free entry for anybody who wants to attend. It's a good time.
Sunday nights in The Tetons out behind the airport at on Zenith, I think. It's where the McCooey's live. So there's that. Jackson Hole Men's Alliance is happening. This is the first Wednesday.
July is upon us. So first Wednesday of the month, each month, we do a get together. And the Jackson Hole Men's Alliance this week, Brian McCooey will be sharing his testimony, and that's happening Wednesday, 06:30AM. It's a good gathering. It's a fun time.
So and Berkeley, Johnston said, from the back, said, bring your male members of your family who are here for the fourth. He screamed that out. So, okay. Men's Alliance, here it is. It is here at the church.
That's right. And it's down the hall. Usually, we're in the fellowship hall. If it overflowed the bounds, we would come in here, but it's it's pretty safe in there. Thanks.
And the QR code up there would get you to our website if you wanted to do it that way, or you could just type in firstbjackson.org, and that'll get you there too. And that has everything else that we know of that's going on. I think that's it. Teton Valley Fellowship will be next Friday, not this Friday. So I think that's all of them.
We had a baby dedication this morning. I love these. It's a dry baptism. Yeah. There are a lot of people in here who are who are from a different background than Baptist.
And this morning, Hayes Timothy Melton came forward, and I did not scare him to the point of crying during the service. But he was born actually his first birthday was yesterday. Samantha and Joey Melton have been living up at Turpin, and I got to do their wedding up there six years ago. And it's so cool to see. Yesterday, I got to do a wedding right here for fussy girling.
And it was so cool that the progress Rich always said and he he said the the time you're gonna get the call, pastor, when I first got here is for hatching, matching, and dispatching. He says it's gonna be births and weddings and funerals are what you're gonna get the call for. And I have lived that dream for some time now. But really, really excited for Samantha and Joey. And Joey's whole family was here.
Samantha's best friend and maid of honor and her wedding were here too. I think that's the last of the announcements. Am I right? Okay. Would you stand with us?
I'm gonna invite this family back up. And we're gonna continue in song. Change my heart, oh God. Amen. Amen.
Amen. Amen. Sanctuary. Lord, prepare us to be a sanctuary. Amen.
And y'all can have a seat. I will I remembered it in this service. I did not remember it in the last service. But so that you don't think it's odd, I'm gonna invite the ushers to come down front, and we're having the worship through giving time. It's the operatory time.
Today, we're gonna take this offering, and then at the end of the service, we're gonna take another. Forewarned is forearmed. I don't think you didn't give enough. Okay? We're doing this because we're gonna we have a dear friend from Limuru, Kenya.
Pastor Kamal, one of my favorite people on earth is here, and he's been ministering for many years at Togony Baptist Church and at Kenya Baptist Theological Seminary. And towards the end of the service, we're gonna take up a separate offering that is going to bless them and the ministry in Kenya. And so if you brought one check today or if you just plan on giving one amount today, put it in the second plate. This is for the general often but if if you just brought one, by all means, please put it in that second plate. God is so so blessed, and we want to be a blessing to them.
So if you would, pray with me. Lord God Almighty, I thank you that you are working your will and your way amongst us, through us. I hope, Lord. That's what we want. We long to do your will.
I pray that we would remain, lord, humble before you and seeking direction. And when you show us your will and your way that we'd be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to walk it out. Lord God almighty, I thank you that you've called us into this. There are some familiar faces here. There's some new faces here.
And Lord, I I trust that we are gathered in your name because we are humbly seeking your will for our lives. Would you show us your way, Lord, and give us the power to walk in it? We ask your blessing on this offering, both the gift and the giver, Lord, that you would do exactly what you want done. In Jesus name, amen. Thank you, Judy.
So I'm gonna introduce pastor Kamau. This is out from our trip. When we were there in February and March of this year, we we came into Lemuru, Kenya and got it in time got in town just in time for the first service and then the next week, I was preaching there and we invited him when he he we knew he's coming to The States later in the year and we said, please plan on coming to First B. I think it's been fifteen or sixteen years since he was here And pastor Kamau was the youth pastor at Togony when Roseanne and Darden moved there. In what year, '90?
'91. In 1991, pastor Kamau was the youth pastor at this. I warned Mike Demetrius that this is what happens. If you're the youth pastor, you, you know, it kinda goes along. You get to be the lead pastor.
Anyway, he's been serving there faithfully this whole time. And some of the ministries that we also know in Kenya have grown up from being in his youth group and being in his church. Roseanne and Darton served there, and I'm just glad you're here this morning. I'm glad you're here this morning. I'll let you go from here.
Usually, when people come in for a Sunday morning, if they come in for a missions committee meeting, tell us everything that you're doing. But I usually ask them, if you're gonna be here on Sunday morning, people show up to hear God's word. So would you preach? So he'll give you fill in and show you a little bit of what about what's been happening, but also preach a passage for us. So come on up.
Pastor Joseph Kamau Kabui from Lemuru, Kenya. We love you.
Speaker 2Thank you. Good morning, everyone. Thank you for having me. Thank you, pastor E. Yes.
I am Joseph Kamau Kaboy. I bring you greetings from Tigone Baptist Church as well as Kenya Baptist Theological College in Kenya. Yeah. I am married, and we have two girls, Sheila, who is 28, and Angela, who is 25. That's my family.
And then this is Tigone Baptist Church. Then it's a new building that we've been working on. The dream came in 2004, but we started working on it fourteen years ago. The reason was the old building was coming down, and we felt like we were putting a lot of money in it. We thought about coming up with a new building, and that is what we have.
We we we are so glad that the Lord has enabled us to come up with a building. We got some donation from this church sometimes back, and we were able to finish part of the church building that was not done, especially the front part of it. That is the entrance. We were able to tile it. And then there are staircases that we have been able to complete in the last few Since you were there.
Yeah. Since you were there. It was not this way when you were there, and therefore we thank God for that. Yeah. That basically will be my office.
We are we are still working on it, it now have tiles. Yeah. And that is Jonathan. He's a new guy at our church and, like, making fun, and we are glad that he is there. This morning, I want us I want to share with us about Christ's desire for believers' unity.
And I'm going to read from the book of John chapter 17 verse 20 to 26. Okay.
Joseph Kamau KabuiHe asked me if I would read this. He's gonna preach from it, but may I read it? I don't wanna lose my
Speaker 2Yeah, sure.
Joseph Kamau KabuiMy standing. My prayer is not for them alone. This is Jesus in the garden. This is Jesus within hearing of his disciples. My prayer is not for them alone, these disciples.
I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message. That all of them may be one, father, just as you are in me and just as I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I've given them the glory that you gave me and they that they may be one just as we are one and I in them and you and me so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you love me before the creation of the world. Righteous father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I've made you known to them and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them that I, myself may be in them. Lord, would you bless the reading and the preaching of your word? Amen.
Amen.
Speaker 2Yeah. This is a prayer. One of the prayers that Jesus prayed at the end of his time on earth. And it has a lot to tell us about the desire that he has for us. In John chapter 17, we read of this prayer where he prayed for himself.
He prayed for his followers then, and then he prayed for us. And this section is a prayer that he prayed for us who are seated here. If you look at the book of John from chapter 13 all the way to 16, Jesus was informing his disciples or telling his disciples that his time to be with them was coming to an end. And then on chapter 17, he prays for them. If you look at the book of Mark, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, the last prayer that Jesus prayed was in the Garden Of Gethsemane whereby he was all by himself.
That is one of the prayers that is recorded. But this prayer is different from the that prayer in that he prayed in the presence of his disciples. They heard him pray. And as he was praying, he prayed about himself. He prayed for his followers, and then he prayed for us.
And I want us to focus on the reasons that we we can find in this passage of Jesus praying for you and me. And one of the desire was for us to be united, for believers to live in unity. And some of the reasons that Jesus gives for our unity is that when believers are united, when we are united, it demonstrates our knowledge it demonstrates our knowledge of God. It shows how we we we know God. And when we read from verse twenty twenty twenty and twenty one, he says, my prayer is not for them alone.
I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message. That all of them may be one. Father, as you are in me and I am in you. Therefore, he's he's demonstrating that if we know how God the father, God the son are united, then we would emulate that and be united with one another. We can our unity, when we are united, we demonstrate to the world that, yes, we know our God.
We know Jesus Christ, and we know God the father. I I in in Africa, there is a saying that I am because we are. I cannot exist alone without other people. And that that that has been a saying that makes us feel that like we are united. And most of us are usually brought together by people that we know.
If I go to a place and there is a person that I know, as I go to that person, his friends will also come and all of us will have a fellowship. We'll be united around the person that we know. And therefore, if we know God, if you know God, people who are attracted to God will come and you'll be united not because of who you are, but because of who God is. And therefore, Jesus is saying that he was praying for us, saying that we may be one just as he and the father are one. Without knowing the unity of God, there is no way we can be united.
But when we know that Jesus and the father are one, we have a reason to live in unity. The second reason is that our unity demonstrates our oneness with God, not only the knowledge. Yeah. We can know him. But then when we are united, we are showing the world that, yes, we are one with God.
Basically, it says that the the the world the world will know that Jesus was that Jesus came from God. And that is what we read on verse the the the second part of verse 21. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me that they may be one as we are one. The unity of believers demonstrates that the believers are one with God.
We are one with God. And this is what Jesus was praying that the world will know that God sent him. And again, not only that, because of the glory that God is going to put in our lives. In the book of Acts chapter four, Peter and John had preached. And then the religious leaders were trying to stop them from preaching.
They called a meeting and they wanted to stop them. And as they were thinking of what to do with them, they looked at them and said, these people, although they were not schooled, these people had been with Jesus. The glory of God was among them. And when when united when we are united, people will know, yes, we have been with Christ. It shows that our oneness is with God.
And the third reason that I find in this prayer is that it demonstrates our willingness to exalt Christ. That is in verse 22 b to 23. The Bible says, I I have given them the glory that you give me that they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Here, I I fight the prayer of Jesus as the disciples were listening to him as a way of showing them the importance of evangelism, bringing people to Christ. How can we bring these people to Jesus? The world will know him if we are united. Our unity will demonstrate to the world that, yes, we are it will demonstrate to the world that they need Jesus because we are united. The world will will come to know him.
Therefore, our unity is a way of evangelism. Most of us think of evangelism as going to tell, but people can know Jesus even by the way we behave, the way we live our Christian lives. And one of the ways is when they see the unity of the believers, they will see that, yes, Jesus is Lord and we reveal him to the world. And this gives me joy that I can go out there and live with my brothers and sisters in Christ, and people will come to know him. The fourth reason that I find is that our unity demonstrates our internal dwelling.
We are in this world for a short while. And you look at verse 24, Jesus talk about it. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Yeah. Our unity demonstrates that, yeah, we know that we will be with Jesus.
We'll be where Jesus is. When when Jesus was talking about this and talking about our dwelling with him in heaven and praying for the unity of believers, he was showing them, yeah, you know, all of you will come to where I am. He said that I've gone to prepare you a place, and when it is complete, I'll be with you. You'll be where I am. And this makes me remember, we have this joke in Africa whereby we tell people, yeah, whether you love me or not, and you're Christian, we are going to the same heaven.
And God has prepared a place for us. Probably your bed will be next to mine, And you will live with me forever. You will have nothing to do about it. So you have to learn to love me while we are in this world because we will be together. So our unity demonstrates that eternal dwelling where all the nations, where all the tribes, where all languages will gather at the feet of Jesus.
And therefore, my prayer is that we may all learn to live in unity because that is what Jesus desires. That is what Jesus want for us. These were his last words part of his last words on earth, which were very important and which are still very important for us to think about. And may God bless you all. Thank you.
So
Joseph Kamau KabuiI do feel an incredible oneness with this guy. In 2013, this church in August 2013 sent 19 ladies and me to Kenya. And this is the first time that I got to meet him, although I've been praying for him for quite some time before that. And Roseanne took Tanya and Pascal the first summer when we got here. I think they had only been here in town two or three months when they got to meet pastor Kamau and his wife, and she came back telling wonderful stories of how it is.
Now if you look at us, there's a little little difference. Right? But there's a oneness, I mean, that is immediate to be a part of the family of God. His his worship leader, Lucas, has perfect pitch. And he's amazing.
Absolutely amazing. And to go in and to be able to sing off the wall, Swahili. I don't know what I'm saying exactly, but every tribe, tongue, and nation gathered around the throne singing holy, holy, holy. What language? We don't know yet.
Lord God almighty, I pray that you would show us your will and your way, that you'd show us how to do what it is you want us to do and give us the power to carry it out. We will sing your praises, lord. We're gonna sing this last song to you. Take my life and lead me, Lord. Amen.
Would you stand with me? We're gonna sing this. Thank you for the family coming forward. Hymn number six sixty four, if you happen to have your hymnal. And I will ask the ushers to come on forward.
We'll just use this as sort of an song also. So take my life, lead me, Lord. Make my life useful to thee. Amen. And for the benediction today, I've chosen John seventeen twenty one.
And I wanna ask you a question that all of them may be one. This is Jesus Christ. Like he said, last words are really important. He mentioned in the first service that if all the kids are gathered around, someone at their deathbed and one of them is not there, they wanna know what's the last thing that mom said, what's the last thing that dad said. And as Jesus was facing the cross, this is his last prayer for just for himself or for them, but for us that all of them may be one.
Now, truthfully, in Christ, are we one? Yes or no? Yes, we are. Do we act like it? No.
So I'm gonna I'm gonna play the part of Paul here for a moment. Paul has gotta get some grammar in here. The the indicative imperative complex. The indicative imperative complex is this. Be that's the imperative.
Be what you already are in Christ. And so if he says that union with Christ is what it's all about and we are one in Christ, then let's be that. Let's really work towards that. Reach out across a gulf, a chasm, an aisle, and grab hold somebody and pull them towards you and let them pull you towards them. Right?
Jesus prays that all of them may be one. Father, just as you are in me and I'm in you, may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. In Jesus name, that is our prayer, and thank you. Amen. I've got one more thing.
So this afternoon at 02:00, two to five this afternoon, I asked him to preach today. If you wanna ask him more questions, you can do that right now after the service. But Tanya and Pascal and I are having a little gathering, a get together this afternoon in Raptor J at our house. If you wanna know where that is, I'll tell you. If you wanna know in the Internet, I'm probably not gonna tell you.
Okay? So but anyway, if you wanna come to know more about Kenya Baptist Theological College or Togony Baptist Academy or any of the ministries born out of that, we want to give you a space to do that at our house in Raptor J, two to five this afternoon, and we mean it. So that's it. Amen, and you are dismissed.
