  1. 30:58 And it has a similar look. His paintings tell a story, but usually they're landscape paintings and then they tell something. You don't know what. But they're often called like the one the sower, the parable of the sower is called landscape with the parable of the sower because he's kinda showing all the very conditions. This shows a stump. 2. 37:02 And Matthew says that Jesus presented this other parable to him saying, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. Yeah. By this point, he's already explained to the disciples that the sower of the seed in his first parable was himself. It was the son of man. Jesus presented another parable saying, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. Have You Understood All These Things?
  3. 32:33 So that's the whole painting, and you might have overlooked the parable of the sower in there if you didn't know any better, but there it is. Luke says, and we'll let him represent this portion because in all three of the gospels it says, now his disciples began asking him what this parable meant. Actually, think I included all three. Now his disciples began asking him what this parable meant. Right there. The Sower Sows the Word · Ray McDaniel
  4. 34:58 There are new spiritual ties are announced and then Jesus is making a move towards teaching in parables. Now, when we think about all of the Old Testament prophecies, especially Isaiah, which is what they're studying downstairs in children's church this week. He said, and seeing they will not see and hearing they will not understand. And Jesus calls back to that when he starts talking about parables. And we have all heard the parable of the sower many, many times. The Sign of Jonah
  5. 1:03:56 What you do with Jesus matters, and he's gonna give them different parables so that seeing, some of them will still not see and hearing, some of them will still not understand. But the parables give a chance for everybody to to have the word of God planted deep in their heart and for it to grow. He was teaching them many things in parables. This is setting us up for a whole string of them together and was saying to them in his teaching, listen to this, pay close attention. Behold, sower went out to sow. The Sign of Jonah
  6. 44:48 He says, the son of man is the sower in the first parable. Son of man is the sower. He started this thing. He said, I'm gonna build my church to his disciples. You're gonna be my witnesses. Allow Both to Grow Until the Harvest
  7. 42:49 So continuing with the parables of the kingdom. I'll start with something that's unique to Mark. Mark four twenty six through 29 says this, and he, Jesus, was saying, the kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil. Okay. So he's just told us the parable of the sower in Mark. Allow Both to Grow Until the Harvest
  8. 40:19 Last week, we talked about the four different types of soil and I'll quickly run through that. Just the parable itself and then one slide. So he told them many things in parables. Behold, the sower went out to sow and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road. That was really hard packed ground. Allow Both to Grow Until the Harvest
  9. 28:24 But catching the first one is really important. So the parable of four soils without the explanation, just this slide right here is these few verses. He told them many things in parables saying, behold a sower went out to sow. And then he explained it to him afterwards. I think that as we go today, we'll see it again. The One Who Has Ears, Let Him Hear
  10. 40:15 Leave us, please. But when he came back, the people welcomed him for they'd all been waiting for him. The last thing that he had done is the parables of the kingdom. So he teaches the parables of the kingdom there in Sowers Cove and then goes across storm, demoniac, and back. And a man named Jairus, so Luke gives us his name, came. Humble Faith Allows Jesus to Heal the Issues
  11. 38:58 It's not gonna be I'm gonna do a few spoilers before we get to Mark. Now when Jesus saw great multitudes around him, he gave the order to depart to the other side. This is right after all of those parables of the kingdom. Remember, he does seven parables of the kingdom and he's out in the boat so that people in Sower's Cove can hear him. And then he sees the multitudes. Peace Be Still: Calm Down
  12. 1:01:26 Again, he began to teach by the sea and that's Capernaum's right by the sea and such a very large crowd gathered to him that he got into a boat on the sea and sat down and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land and he was teaching them many things in parables and was saying to them in his teaching. Listen to this, behold, pay attention. Behold, the sower went out to sow. On that day, Jesus had gone out of the house and was sitting by the sea and large crowds gathered to him. So he got out into a boat and sat down and the whole crowd was standing on the beach and he told them many things in parables. The Sign of Jonah
  13. 20:17 Thank you, Judy. Well, this morning, we're up to in our New Testament study. We're back to the New Testament study. We've been in for ten years. The parable of the sower. The Sower Sows the Word · Ray McDaniel
  14. 1:02:26 He told them many things in parables. Behold, the sower went out to sow. I am asking. I'm gonna sit this one in your lap, but I'm asking you this week, and it actually I might take a break for spring break. I don't know. The Sign of Jonah
  15. 41:01 He'd been teaching before a whole bunch of people in Sower's Cove, right, sitting out there on the boat to who knows how many, five, maybe 7,000 people. He left the crowds. He went into the house, and he his disciples came into him and said, now explain to us that parable about the weeds. I don't like that. I'm confused by it. The One Who Has Ears, Let Him Hear
  16. 48:27 So here we come to Mark. When Jesus had crossed again over in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him and he stayed by the seashore. So they were waiting for him when he got back. I'm pretty sure it was the same place he had just left. Maybe Sowers Cove itself where he was teaching on parables of the kingdom and giving hope to anyone who would listen. Humble Faith Allows Jesus to Heal the Issues
  17. 1:03:06 Actually, Mark says, and he began to teach by the sea, and such a large crowd was gathered that he got out into a boat on the sea and sat down, and the whole crowd was by the sea on the land. And Luke says, now when a large crowd was coming together, those from various cities were journeying to him, he spoke by the way of a parable. Now the sower went out to sow. Isn't that great? We've heard the sermon before. The Sign of Jonah
  18. 1:04:30 And he told them many things in parables saying, behold, the sower went out to sow. The seed is God's word, and we'll get to that eventually. This morning, even in this transitional sermon, this seed has been scattered. But I pray that in the next week, two weeks, we will be considering what it is that God wants to do with that word in our individual lives. So I'm praying that y'all will begin the process of cultivating the soil. The Sign of Jonah
  19. 33:19 He went to Gadara or Gerassah, and then back to he's returning, and it says the people welcomed him for they had all been waiting for him. The last thing he did on those shores was from probably Sowers Cove presenting the parables of the kingdom, and that filled them with hope, and they were looking forward to it. And when he left on the boat, they were just hoping he'd come back, and he did. He was returning. That's why we say this is in Capernaum. Humble Faith Allows Jesus to Heal the Issues
  20. 34:04 I think that's one out of seven given in Matthew and so the first one in Matthew is this parable of soils. I think that what he's saying right there, it can be about heaven and hell. You can certainly interpret it that way. If you do that, then you're wondering whether the third group, the ones that receive the gospel but it's choked out by thorns, you're wondering where they stand. I think that to take it past that, there we go, We can look at this and see that Jesus said, some of the seed that the sower sowed fell on the roadside. Have You Understood All These Things?
