What does First B Jackson teach about god's grace?

Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.

At First B Jackson, the teaching on grace starts with a conviction that the gospel is simpler than most people make it. The clearest picture offered is the thief on the cross, a man with no record of obedience, no time for works, and nothing to offer except a dying request. That man received the same promise as anyone else, and the preacher held that up as proof that salvation is entirely God's gift and entirely unmerited. Ephesians 2:8-9 and John 3:16 set the terms plainly, and the thief makes them concrete.

The message delivered from 2 Corinthians 12 pushes into what grace looks like when life is genuinely hard. Paul pleaded three times for his thorn to be removed, and God said no. What God said instead was that His grace was sufficient, and that His power is made perfect in weakness. That answer, the preacher said, reframes everything. It does not explain the suffering away, but it locates the power of Christ exactly where Paul felt most helpless.

Both messages land on the same ground: grace is not something a person earns or sustains by performance, and a genuine failure does not undo what God has done. The preacher put it in Paul's own words: "Nothing that we've done will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord." The offer, as the teaching makes clear, is open to anyone, regardless of what came before.

From Nothing Else: The Simplicity of the Gospel

The passage taught · Acts 16:6-10

6 When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.

7 When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn’t allow them.

8 Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.

9 A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.”
