What does First B Jackson teach about gossip?

Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.

The messages available from First B Jackson touch on gossip briefly rather than addressing it as a central theme, so a full picture of the church's teaching on this topic is not captured here.

In his Romans 1 message, Pastor Ray walked the congregation through Paul's long list of vices in verses 29 through 31, which includes gossip alongside envy, strife, deceit, arrogance, and several others. He asked everyone in the room, including himself, to do honest self-evaluation against that list, and he noted that few people could walk past the whole list untouched. His point was that Paul paints everyone with that brush, not just one group.

A fuller treatment of the related commands in Ephesians 4:25 through 5:2, which covers corrupting talk and how Christians are called to speak to one another, appears to have been part of the May 2026 message, but the recap of that section was not fully captured. Checking that message directly would give the most complete picture of what has been taught here on how followers of Jesus are called to use their words.

Taught from Romans 1:29-32

The passage taught · 1 Corinthians 11 (partial)

1 Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

2 Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

3 But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
