What does First B Jackson teach about romania?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At First B Jackson, the teaching on Romania comes from Peter Lacoccio, a missionary with the Romanian Evangelical Medical Mission who has spoken here more than once. The through-line across every message is the same: no human government, no matter how thorough, has ever been able to stop the word of God from reaching people. Peter traces that conviction through decades of firsthand experience, beginning with Communist-era Romania, where the government banned seminary training, confiscated and destroyed Bibles, sealed church buildings, and sent evangelical families to concentration camps. The goal, Peter said, was no pastors, no Bibles, no Christianity within a generation. It did not work.
Peter connects what happened in Romania to the pattern he sees in Acts, where unschooled, ordinary people who had been with Jesus went out with no credentials and no institutional power and turned the world upside down. He applies Gamaliel's warning directly to what he witnessed: if this work comes from men it will fall apart, but if it comes from God, no one will be able to stop it. When communism collapsed in 1989, crowds knelt in city squares praying the Lord's Prayer. The leaders of neighboring countries told journalists not to look at them as heroes, because believers had been praying behind the Iron Curtain the whole time.
The same thread runs through Peter's family history. His grandfather came to faith in a Siberian prisoner-of-war camp during World War One, returned home to rejection from his own father, and yet one by one neighbors began to gather for prayer. Returning prisoners and frontline soldiers, ordinary men with no formal training, planted nearly half of all the Baptist churches Romania has ever had in just five years between 1920 and 1925. Peter's work today with REMM, including the orphanage Casa Joseph, grows from that same soil, and he has watched testimonies from girls there reach more than 70 countries. The power behind all of it, Peter consistently says, was never the people.
