In one paragraph

Norris Williams, a longtime missionary supported by First Baptist Jackson, spoke about the disciple-making movements he has helped build across the Middle East, Nigeria, and Korea through his organization Novo (formerly Church Resource Ministries). He described what God is doing among ordinary people in some of the world's most dangerous places, and called the congregation to take seriously their...

Talk about it

  1. Norris said that God's job is to draw people to Jesus, the Holy Spirit's job is to convict of sin, and our job is to love God and make disciples. Where in your own life have you taken on a job that belongs to God or the Holy Spirit, and what did that look like?
  2. Norris described training teams who present everything verbally and without manuals so that people cannot disqualify themselves by thinking they lack the expertise to replicate it. What assumptions do you carry about what you need to know or have before you can make disciples?
  3. Norris and Laurie pray 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done' room by room and conversation by conversation through their day. What would it look like for you to pray that way in a specific, ordinary part of your week?
  4. Norris said one of the enemy's agendas is to keep believers meeting together regularly while staying out of the harvest. Who are the five people in your life right now who do not know Christ, and what is your relationship with them like?
  5. Lisa asked God why her transformation was taking so long, and He told her the time it takes is on her, not Him, because she chooses how she spends her time. What did that land on for you, and what is one thing you could prune to make more room for time with God?
