Hey. Good morning, everybody. It is really good to see you. I'm glad that you're all here. Moms, I'm so glad to see you.
0:08
We wouldn't be here without you. We're gonna recognize you more during the service, but I just wanna say on the front end, happy Mother's Day moms. I have a verse I wanna share with you. It's from Revelation. Let anyone who is thirsty come.
0:23
Let anyone who die desires to drink freely from the water of life. God is providing us life. He's given us life. And, we have an opportunity to give praise to him, and that's a good thing. Would you agree?
0:36
So why don't we stand up? We're just as we are to worship.
0:48
Alright. Come now is the time. Come. Now is the time to worship. Come.
0:59
Now is the time to give your heart. Come just as you ought to worship. Come just as you are before your God. Come. And one day, every knee and every tongue, one day, every tongue will confess you are God.
1:30
And one day, every knee will bow. Still, greatest treasure remains for those who proudly choose you now. From verse one, come. Now is the time to worship.
1:51
Come.
1:53
Now is the time to get in the old heart. Come just as you are to worship. Come just as you are before your God. Come. And one day, one day, every tongue will confess you are God.
2:23
One day, every knee will bow. Still the greatest treasure remains for those who gladly choose you now. One day, and one day, every tongue will confess you are God. One day, every knee won't buy. Still the greatest treasure remains for those who gladly choose you now.
2:51
Come. Now is the time to worship. Come, now is the time to give your heart. Come.
3:13
God, we give you thanks for this morning, and we do come to worship you just as we are, warts and all, knowing that you see all of us, you know our situations, you know what we're going through, and yet you love us and you care for your children. And I'm grateful. I'm grateful to be able to meet with you. I'm grateful for this time of worship together. I'm glad that we can freely come to you boldly because of the work of Jesus and his righteousness that lives in us, that we're justified, made right.
3:42
And here we are, sons and daughters. Thank you. Amen. You can have a seat.
3:48
Alright. This morning, welcome. We've got some announcements, and our first announcement comes all the way to us from Denver International Airport.
3:56
Guatemala and I just wanted to remind you that today, there's a meeting between services to talk about the potential kitchen remodel and the meeting is being held by John Micus and Kevin Olsen. So, come find them if you have questions.
4:12
Alright, informational meeting on the Kitchen Fellowship Hall renovation between services today in the Fellowship Hall and like Lauren said, Kevin Olsen and John Micus, are either of those in there that want to say anything about that? Anybody? Nope. Okay. Very good.
4:30
Today at 01:00 is the Spanish service and that is right here as well. If you're a Spanish speaker and you'd like to be a part of that, come join us. Today. Right? Today.
4:42
Is that how you say that? Hoy? Oy. Oy. No h.
4:45
The h is silent. Oy. Alright. There we go. Yeah.
4:50
Yeah. I need to learn to speak Spanish. I should go to that service. Okay. Next one.
4:55
Mission trip. Monday nights is still on. 06:15, mule, music, and a message.
5:04
Message straight from Denver International Airport once again. Monday nights is happening. Every Monday night, 06:15 down in the Fellowship Hall. Next Sunday is a busy one. A lot of things going on here, so I'm just gonna go through.
5:17
You guys can read along with me if you like, but there's a new fifth and sixth grade girls study downstairs in that far corner room next to the library. Andrea Largie is gonna start that up for fifth and sixth grade girls. There's already a middle school, high school one happening at the same time downstairs in the youth room, but we're gonna also expand that to some younger gals as well. So if you are a fifth or sixth grader, plan to be here Sundays from ten to eleven for that downstairs in the corner multipurpose blue room. Discovery class is also between services next week and we have a covenant ceremony for the thirty first to welcome 10 new members.
5:56
It's not too late to jump on and become a new member as well if you're thinking that way. So next week you wanna be at the discovery class. That's usually in Ray's office between services as well. And then next week, the big thing, all church picnic at noon. Here on the lawn, if weather permits, otherwise, we'll probably just move it inside, I imagine.
6:14
We have a tent.
6:15
Oh, we have a tent. So it's gonna be outside regardless, it sounds like. But after that, there's also the Awana Gram Prix in here. Is that right?
6:25
Martin.
6:25
Martin? Yes. In here, Awana Gram Prix as well as the awards ceremony for Awana. We'd like the church congregation to be a part of that if at all you could make it happen. It's also a great time for us to say goodbye and farewell and best wishes to Doug and Becky Wachim as they are heading off on a new adventure.
6:44
So, we'll be able to do that next week altogether. Bring a side dish or a dessert for the picnic. This is exciting. Young Life. Let's take Young Life to the next level here in Jackson Hole.
6:56
There is a meeting for that Wednesday, May 20, 07:15 to 08:30 and that is at the whole grocer upstairs in the in the little common space up there for meetings. Is Kevin Olsen here or anybody who would like to speak on this real quick? Any more information? Nope. Nope.
7:15
Nope. Okay. That is happening. And it's to be to to give information about Young Life that we're hoping to start here in Jackson or or give it a little boost start. So next or May, Wednesday, the twentieth at the Whole Grocer.
7:34
Get your boots out May 26. You're invited to the Barjay Chuckwagon extravaganza for Turning Point to raise money for them. You guys can grab tickets from Judy Basie or hear from the church office. And as always, check your bulletin. It has much more in there, but those are the different things.
7:52
And with that, I think why don't you guys stand up, greet one another, and we will be back with a song.
8:03
Alright, you guys ready?
8:07
I meet with you and my soul sings out as your word throws down far away. And I sing to you, and my heart cries holy. Hallelujah. Father, you're here. My hope is in you.
8:30
And I hope he's here, Lord, all the day long. I won't be shaken by drowned or storm. A beast passes on you stand. It's my song, and I'll sing. I hope he's in you.
8:54
I wait for you, and my soul finds rest. In my selfishness, you're showing grace. I worship you, and my heart fides glory hallelujah father you're here and I'll be in you lord all song I'll sing. I hope he's in alone. I'll wait on you.
9:42
I'll wait on you. You you are my refuge. One more time, our hope's in him. And I hope he's in you, Lord, all the day long. I won't be shaken by drowned or storm.
10:19
A peace that passes understanding is my song, and I'll sing. My hope here alone. My hope is is in you alone. I am not skilled to understand. I want God in his will and God in his plan.
11:02
I only know at his right hand stands one who is my savior. I take him out his word indeed. Christ died to save me this sireen. And in my heart, I find a need for him to be my savior, that he would leave his place on high and come for a sinful man to die. You counted strange souls state eye.
11:58
Before I knew my savior. My savior loves, my savior lives, my savior's always there for me.
12:08
My God he was, my God he is, my
12:11
God he's always gonna be. My savior loves, my savior lives, my savior's always there for me.
12:20
My God,
12:21
he was.
12:22
My God, he is.
12:23
My God, he's always gonna be. Yes. Living, once died to be my savior. He will leave his place on high and comfort sinful man to die. And you counted strange souls on state eye.
13:13
Before I knew my savior. And my savior loves and my savior lives, my savior's always there for me.
13:24
My God, he was. My God, he is.
13:27
My God, he's always gonna be. My savior loves. My savior lives. My savior's always there
13:35
for me. My God, he was. My
13:51
God, God, we do wanna bring you praise this morning. We are thankful thankful that you love and that you live and that you're here with us. You're here among us. Your presence is here. Your spirit is with us.
14:06
And I pray, God, that throughout the week, you'd remind us of it, and we'd be walking in your spirit. I thank you, God, that you do not let go of us, that we are yours. And through faith in Jesus, we are eternally secure. That is a real gift, and we're thankful. Amen.
14:35
And even though walk through the valley of the shadow won't dare, your perving love is casting out fear. And even when I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life, I won't turn back. I know you I'm here, and I won't fear no evil. For my God is with me. And if my God is with me, whom then shall I fear?
15:29
Never let go of every high and every low. Oh, no. You never let go of the storm. You never let go of me. And I could see the light that is coming for the heart that holds on, a glorious light beyond all compare.
15:56
And there will be an end to these troubles, but until that day comes, we'll live to know you're here on the Earth. Thank you, Jesus. And I won't fear no evil. For my God is with me. And if my God is with me, whom then shall I fear?
16:27
Whom then shall I fear? Oh, no. You never let go through the storm. Oh, no. You never let go in every high and every low.
16:43
Oh, no. You never let go alone. You never let go of me. You never let go. You never let go of me.
17:03
God, we do thank you that indeed that is true, that you don't let go of us. And that's just your nature, consistent, holding on, and forever. And and, God, we confess it often. That's that's not the way we are. We're we're we're here and there.
17:20
We can be a bit flaky. But, God, you're consistent. You're not changing. And you're generous. And I I just can't I can't get over your generosity sometimes that the the grace that you give, that you still love us in spite of us.
17:35
But I thank you for that. We thank you for that as a church, God. And collectively, we come to give you praise. And I pray that in this worship of giving here, that it's just another way that we can say, God, we're grateful. We're thankful.
17:50
We trust you. And I pray God that this offering, what it would do would be to to grow your church. It would it would, make your name known, not just here in Jackson, but to the ends of the earth. And we thank you for the crew that's in Guatemala right now, and I pray, God, that with a small amount of time that they would have maximum amount amount of impact on those people, their salt and light. We realize that we're not the only church here.
18:16
We're just one of many all around the globe, and we're grateful to be your people, grateful to be adopted sons and daughters. It's a privilege. Amen.
22:09
Alright, thank you Kale. She has one lucky husband, that one does, I'll tell you what. Alright, children, you guys, oh easy, you guys are dismissed to Peaks Children's Church. Alright, well welcome friends, so glad you guys are all here this morning and let's see if this thing's working, happy Mother's Day. Yes, Yes, mothers.
22:34
Let's give them a big hand. We just want to take a moment right now just to recognize you mothers, say thank you and also just to all the ladies here at First thank you guys so much for being here, and just thank you for being mothers and women and girls and being awesome at that. Here at First Bee, we do appreciate it, and so what we would like to do is I'd like to have the elders join me up here. We've got these wonderful, are these carnations? Carnations, we've got carnations.
23:06
These guys are gonna hand out to all of you. So fellas, sure that all the mothers, ladies, girls, anybody with two x chromosomes gets a carnation. And while they're passing these out and figuring out how to get them out of the can, we're gonna go ahead and watch a quick video.
23:41
Mother's Day, the one day a year we set aside to celebrating our sweet moms for all the ways they're so nice to us. Bringing her breakfast in bed, going to church together, buying her flowers and other girly stuff, giving her a little quiet time, making her a nice picture or a card, taking her to dinner. And maybe, just maybe, letting her play Jedi Knight fighters from the planet Typhon with us. Or, you know, whatever she wants. Anything is fine, really.
24:22
It's your day mom. What should we do together?
24:27
Alright. Hey moms are awesome aren't they? Moms are awesome. Yes. And I'm gonna go as far this morning to say that girls are awesome.
24:39
So great job ladies on being awesome. And I know that it's great to hear that you're awesome from say your kids or from your husband or your grandkids or even complete strangers because it is awesome to hear that you're awesome. But the most awesome thing about hearing that you're awesome is that God, big g awesome God, God thinks you're awesome. It's a great song. But this morning being that it is Mother's Day, we've got a few more.
25:12
They're gonna keep handing out. Don't let Matt distract you all. Thank you. I appreciate you doing that. Yeah.
25:18
Alright. So this morning though, being that it is Mother's Day, we're gonna look at God's awesome plan. God's awesome plan for you mothers, ladies, girls. And fellas, pay attention because I have a feeling you may be able to get something as well from this morning. But first how about an introduction?
25:41
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Rinsey Reno. I'm the youth and tech person here at First Bee. So I'm the youth director as well as I deal with things like overheads and slideshows and I'm able to put sound effects into slideshows and things like that. That's a bonus of being the tech guy I guess. But I'm speaking today because Ray, as you all know, is in Guatemala.
26:04
He's on a mission trip with the team from First B and a few weeks ago when he started seeing that he was going to be gone, he said, Renzi, would you preach? And I told him, no, I won't. I will not be preaching and he said, yes, you will. You're gonna preach. Here's the weeks you can pick from.
26:19
And I said, how about Mother's Day? I would like to preach on Mother's Day. And he said, that's great. I said, I've got a mom. I know something or two about a mom.
26:27
Turns out that it wasn't enough, but I put something together that hopefully will be alright this morning. So anyway, we'll go ahead and get into it. That's embarrassing. Turn off your phones people. Oh my goodness it's mine.
26:45
I can't believe this. Hold on. Oh hey Ray. How are you? Yeah I'm kind of in the middle of something.
26:54
Yep, remember you made me preach this morning? Right. Yes, I'm wearing a tie. Yep, okay. Nope, I didn't happen to see if Carl put a check-in the offering tray.
27:07
No. He didn't take one out either. No. Okay. Hey listen, I got to go.
27:12
I got I got to I got to get going here. Alright. Alright. Yep. Tell Casey McHughey happy Mother's Day.
27:19
Alright. Love you too. Alright. Got to go. Bye.
27:23
Oh man, that Ray, G Manese, I'll tell you what, he is a micromanager that one. No, anyways, where were we? Let's see here, checklist for Sunday, Sunday morning checklist. Ray is gone, check. I'm here.
27:37
Check. And moms are awesome. So ladies, let's get started there with you guys being awesome. The Bible is jam packed full of awesome encouraging things. It shows how awesome God thinks you ladies are.
27:52
When life gets you down, God wants to be there to pick you up. God comes to you with grace and acceptance, you might feel like the impossible is expected of you. So moms, ladies, girls, all you double X chromosomes out there today, here is my question for you. What role do you play in God's plans? Now I would never be so arrogant to say that I could tell each individually lady out there that you ladies that I would know each of your role but just for to get started here, if you're looking, if you need a reminder, we're going to start out with some real easy points here.
28:32
This morning we're going to look at three points, three not two, three points about awesome ways that you gals are so important. So let's go ahead and get started. And I just want to do a quick disclaimer before this first one, before it pops up on the screen. Just give me some time to explain and then it will make more sense hopefully. So here we go.
28:58
Here we go. A woman's role is in the home. Oh my goodness gracious. I'm not a chauvinist, I swear. I will get to this point here in a second.
29:07
But a woman's role is in the home. And if I said this to my wife, it would be the couch for me, with no explanation. She probably wouldn't buy into that. But if I said this to my mom, my mom would be so excited to say, Renzi, you're such a nice boy. I've raised you so well.
29:21
There's nothing better than being in the home raising your kids, supporting your husband. But I know some of you gals, you might say, hey listen, I love my kids, I love my husband, but there's no better place than being at work away from them. And either way, whatever whatever you decide, that's great. Both those are great. But ladies, your role is in the home or better put, a woman's role in the home is and that's where we're gonna start this morning.
29:49
We're gonna jump into Proverbs. Proverbs twenty two six. Train up a child in the way he should go even when he is old, he will not depart from it. So whether you are at home, whether you are at work, your role remains the same. Your home should be a place where Jesus is loved.
30:11
It should be a place where there's a difference between right and wrong. It should be a place where standards are set and where an influence is passed down and taught to your children. In a society where parents have less and less control over the things that are influencing our children, make your home a refuge. Buy a huge shield and lay it against the side of it. But I hope that that just shows the point.
30:40
Shield your home. Shield your home from make it a place where where your family can be safe from all of those fiery arrows that we read about in Ephesians from the devil. Make it a place that's safe where your kids can be safe, where your husband can be safe, where you can be safe. Proverbs twenty two six, train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
31:04
Ladies, your role in the home is to grow your children in the way of the Lord and make your home a safe place. And gentlemen, you're not off the hook because that's a collaborative effort. You guys need to come side by side with your wives and make that happen. And I do realize that not everybody in here that's a gal has children. So this still applies to you.
31:25
Make your home a safe place when you're hosting people, when for yourself, when you have people over, make your home a place where Jesus is welcome. And that's just a great spot to start with your role in the home. Number two, a woman's role is in the world. So our role in
31:43
the
31:44
home, protect, make it a safe place. Now outside of our home, what can our role be? And think of it this way, what's the impact you can have on those outside of your home? Proverbs 3one ten-thirty one, description of a worthy woman. Now I wanted to find a really cool piece of art because Ray always has great art in his slideshows.
32:03
This is the only one I could find and I think it's from a children's Bible. So I don't have any real special information about it that I could tell you. But there it is, she's out there. But Proverbs 3one ten-thirty one, description of a worthy woman. That is, it tells of a gal who's out, she's in the world, she's handling, she's handling her business.
32:24
Through the passage, it talks about her, she is wise, she is bold, she's valuable, she's trustworthy, she's generous and kind, she's strong, and above all she fears the Lord. Now the first time I heard this passage was in a DC talk song I'll try to just give it a little tiny piece of it. It goes like this. Charmed is deceitful and beauty is vain. A woman who fears the Lord she ain't playing.
32:54
Here's what I'm saying and I'm saying it clearly. She's the kind of girl I gots to have near me. Yep. Mhmm. Yeah.
32:59
A little something? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A little something.
33:03
If if you grew up in the nineties in a Christian home, I imagine you have that memorized as well but that was the first time I heard it. The Bible actually says it like this. Proverbs thirty one thirty, Charmed is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. The Proverbs 31 woman is the kind of example you can show to the world, ladies. God doesn't want you to be a timid wallflower that's swayed back and forth with the the ebbs and flows of what's happening in our society and in our times and things like that.
33:36
God wants you to be an example and be a strong, bold example. Kale, my wife and I, we talk about this tragedy we see much much more often than we'd like and it's a lack of confident and strong, bold young ladies and some of of the gals that we've we've met. In Proverbs 31, a woman should be an example to her peers. She should be an example for younger gals, for our daughters, and and and let them know that it's not just okay but God wants. God wants you gals to be confident, bold, and strong.
34:13
So, ladies, your role in the world is to be an example and for all of you single ladies and single fellas, I've got some good news. Take a moment, read Proverbs thirty one ten through 31 and ladies try to be that gal, fellas try to find that gal and there could be some sparks of lion. That's some free love advice. You're welcome. That's brought to you by Precious Moments.
34:41
I don't know if I can use that joke in the second service. It might be too close to home. We will see. Alright. So moving on.
34:50
Roll number three. Ladies, roll number three. Your role is in the church. And to kick this point off, you have to look no further than our front office here at First It reminds me of this sign that I've seen. Do you want to see a man in charge or speak to a woman who knows what's going on?
35:15
Seriously, you don't have to look any further than that here at Firstbeat. Diane, though her title is office manager, she, a lot of times she's a counselor, she's a teacher, she's a leader and she gets to see people that Ray Carl and I never even get to see. She's sort of the first line of defense people come in. They share their woes with her and a lot of times, she's able to handle it right there, pray with them, and send them back out. Ginny Swink, Casey McCooey, Sandy Landis, they're whirling dervishes of efficiency in that office.
35:47
They keep all of us guys on track here. Let us know what's going on. We have an awesome ladies ladies Bible study here that were the words brought by Becca Block is one of the speakers as well as Deborah Buckingham. Jane Kratenberg leads a precepts study down in the fellowship hall weekly where where she leads people through the Bible and and they go through with a fine fine tooth comb and they really get to see what God is saying for them. In the youth program, Jerilyn Areola, Melissa Kaufman, those guys, those gals, excuse me.
36:22
They're awesome. They come alongside me and they keep the youth program going strong. And then they took it upon themselves to start a middle school, high school study that meets between services as well. So really, from the youth standpoint, I'd be up a creek without them. All those kids who ran out of here, that mass exodus, Christa Klimmer gets that all going.
36:50
So you gals, you guys are so important here. You guys do a ton more than some people. Carl. No,
37:00
that's not true.
37:01
I wouldn't put you on blast like that. But the truth is we couldn't properly minister without you guys. You guys are awesome. Ray Carl and I talk about this all the time. Another part of that is being aligned with our wives.
37:15
So we have this woman influence with everything that we're doing as well. Carl and Krista are one. Ray and Tanya are one. Diane and Gary are one. Cal and I are one and so their influences come through in in sort of how we do our ministry here as well and just to kind of drive that point home.
37:37
I found this really cool technology where you can take two faces and bring em together as one and so let's just take a quick look just so you can remember. Let's see here. There's Ray and Tonya. Good looking combo. We've got Gary and Diane.
37:54
Very nice. This one this is very disturbing. Not awesome. But the one that takes it all, Carl and Chrissy, you guys look awesome. They look great.
38:11
It looks like a nineteen eighty's drummer from a hair band or something. He looks great. Anyway, we need you gals. And sometimes it feels like we need you gals more than you probably need us. Carl actually was just telling me the other day, I know I'm ragging on him a lot, but he did.
38:28
He said, you know what, now that Krista has her master's degree, I'm afraid she's going to realize she doesn't really need me anymore. And he's going to end up sleeping in my basement, which would be fun. We would have a good time. But no, all kidding aside, ladies, your role, your role is in the church. And don't think that your role is always this assisting role or this supporting role.
38:53
You guys are awesome at that but you're also awesome in the front lines and ladies, we need your faithfulness. We need the faithfulness of you gals in the church. Jesus always had faithful women around him throughout his ministry. We see in Luke eight three that it was the ladies that were faithfully bankrolling his ministry so that him and the disciples could continue their ministry. It was the ladies who faithfully stayed with Jesus in his darkest hour when he was when all the men had fled and he was tried and put to death, they were the they were the last people at the cross.
39:29
Gals were the first people to the tomb, and they were the first to relay the message of Christ's resurrection, and not only relay it but believe it. Some of those fellows were a little more hard headed. They said, I need to see hand, holes in hands and holes in sides. If you're looking for your role in the church, start out by being faithful to God and he will grow you from there. Ladies, your role is in the church, and that role is to be faithful.
39:58
And truth be told, that's all of our role. Guys, gals, our role in the church is to be faithful and let God use us from there. Again, ladies, you guys are awesome. And just to kind of wrap things up, I'd like to just share a story of my mother. Her story of faithfulness and how it impacted me.
40:20
So, I'll try to do this without weeping like a little baby. So, here we go. Just a quick history. I've got two brothers, one sister, an older brother, an older sister, and a younger brother and my dad used to say, you guys were raised on loving Jesus and he'd sing a song and it was embarrassing but he did it anyway but I remember growing up how faithful my mom was in doing her daily devotions, her daily prayers, and and doing that each morning. We sat in the chair, had her lampstand, had her Bible on it, and that was a daily thing for her to do.
40:58
So, she was super active in the church and just super active and faithful at home. She was just the definition of a servant. So fast forward to Christmas two thousand six. Twas the night before Christmas Eve. It was the night before Christmas Eve and my mother goes to bed early.
41:16
Everybody else is out doing Christmasy things I suppose. And she goes to bed early and wakes up to our home being on fire. So, that was surprising. She managed to crawl from her bedroom to the front door where she got the door open but passed out due to smoke inhalation right there in the entryway and just so happened that Dusty and his girlfriend at the time, Rachel, now they're married. They decided not to go to a movie that night and instead came home.
41:41
They got there, noticed that things looked awfully smoky and headed in, found her at the entryway, and pulled her out, started CPR until the until the ambulance could show up and get her to the hospital. The next couple days was a lot of waiting as my mom was in a hyperbaric chamber to be treated for the smoke inhalation. And the doctors, their diagnosis was, let's see here, what was it, it was possibly death at this point. There was a chance of that, but also if not, was going to be serious brain damage. So they were all very, very surprised to see that with really no explanation how she was recovering so rapidly.
42:23
She went from possible death to definite brain damage to slight brain damage and therapy to no brain damage and only rehabbing her vocal cords and lungs for the smoke inhalation. While she was in the induced coma while she was in the hyperbaric chamber. The doctors also did a CAT scan and found some tumors on her brain. They were able to remove some of those things. Kind of a blessing in disguise there.
42:49
But anyway after the rehab she left the hospital and right back to that chair where she, back to her daily devotions, and her her prayers. So now, fast forward from there. She she she continues down that path of faithfulness. So, 2014. See if I can gather myself here.
43:19
Hold on. 2014 my mom's back again in the Operating Room. This time to remove more of those tumors they'd found eight years ago on her brain. The year prior to this, she her mental and physical health had just deteriorated real rapidly over the course of about six months where she was no longer able to care for herself or care for anybody. So, we were trying to figure out what to do.
43:50
She wasn't showing any signs to the doctors of what the issue could possibly be. They just said, we don't know what it is. We don't know. We said, well, we know she's got these brain tumors. Could you remove more of them and see if that's the case?
44:01
After many attempts at that, the doctors finally decided, okay, we'll give it a whirl. And they removed those tumors. And sure enough, as the pressure from those tumors on her brain were taken away, she popped right back into normalcy. All of a sudden, she was just like the mother we'd always had. She breezed through a month of rehab at the hospital, back home, in her chair, daily devotions, daily bread right there, and her prayers.
44:33
And I don't tell you these two stories to say that God miraculously saved my mom two times, though I think that's the case. But to say that her example had more of an impact on me, her son, than any preacher, teacher, male or female, that I had in my life. So, excuse me, God has a plan for you mothers. Ladies, mothers, my encouragement to all of you is whether you are in the home, in the world, or in the church, be a godly example. Be that bold, wise, and strong woman God made you to be.
45:23
Be faithful and serve. Ladies, you guys are awesome. God thinks it here at First Be. We think it and we hope that those around you think it as well. And on today, Mother's Day, the day where we remember our moms and how truly special they are, I hope that we will all thank God for our moms.
45:42
I'd like to just finish up with a quick video, something a little more lighthearted than my story, and ask the band to come forward.
46:00
Good stuff. Would you all stand with me? We're gonna close in one more one more song here. And I think of it this way that because God is faithful to us, we then can be faithful. You know, he's our ultimate example.
46:15
And because of him, we have faithful mothers. And I pray that that would be continue the case, not just with moms and women, but with men, with all of us as the church, to be faithful people.
46:34
Great is thy faithfulness, oh God, my father. There is no shadow of turning with him. Thou changes none, thy compassions they fail not. As thou has been, thou forever will be. Great is thy faithfulness, great is thy faithfulness morning by morning to mercies I've seen and all I have needed thy hath provided.
47:26
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto you. Pardon for sin. Pardon for sin, and a peace that endured. And I know the prisons to cheer into God. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.
48:01
Blessings, oh, mine, with 10,000 beside. Great is thy faithfulness. Great is thy faithfulness. Morning by morning, new mercies unseen. Great is thy faithfulness, lord unto me.
48:47
Alright. Our benediction today comes from Isaiah sixty six thirteen. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you. Go now in the comfort and peace of the Lord. You are dismissed.
