  1. 12:09 The whole Praetorian Guard has heard and the gospel is growing in them and then he closes with the grace of our lord, Jesus Christ, be with you all. Amen. Now, I said at the beginning, always start with grace and peace and he virtually always ends with grace at least and usually grace and peace. If you've read all the rest of Philippians, it'll put you at a place of peace. The last two chapters that I preached on two weeks ago were and the peace of god will be with you and the god of peace will be with you and then he closes with a few personal greetings. Philippians Chapter 4:14-23 · Pastor Ray McDaniel
  2. 0:16 So, just started off. We ended the book of Philippians with the greetings, the bye bys, and the grace to you. Always start with grace and peace is a good good thing to remember and in Colossians, he also starts with grace and peace and does a little bit of introduction but I my main issue last week was saying that he knew the Philippians really really well and when we read the book of Philippians, we see a church that he knew and loved and you could hear it in the way that he cares for them and for their heart but then, Colossians, we have a group of people that he has never spent any time around before. He does, however, have probably one guy present with him that is telling him about Colossi. Right? He Is Indeed in First Place
  3. 14:27 Your saints and your faithful brothers and sisters, he says, grace to you and peace from god, our father. Now, he doesn't know these people but the message is virtually identical. Paul and Timothy were bond servants together of Christ Jesus to the saints, the holy ones in Christ Jesus who were at Philippi including all the overseers and deacons, faithful brothers and sisters. Grace to you and peace from god our father and lord Jesus Christ. That's Philippians and Colossians is virtually identical because Jesus is Jesus and he's the center. Philippians Chapter 4:14-23 · Pastor Ray McDaniel
  4. 13:41 Why don't you stand up and greet each other? We'll bring you back with a song. God, we, just come before you this morning, and we thank you for your grace and your mercy that you have on our lives. That grace and kindness that leads us to repentance, and we just thank you for, what you do in our lives. You bring us peace that's beyond understanding, and we just pray that you would be here in our midst. For Me to Live Is Christ
  5. 33:28 Two nineteen and it's gonna go till 03:14 this morning. There's a section that sounds like he's about to end the letter. So usually when Paul has his letter, it's the hey, howdy do, grace and peace to you. Love y'all. Thankful for you. Forgetting What Lies Behind, Pressing Forward
  6. 1:15:04 The end of first Thessalonians, now may the god of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful. He will do it. The grace of our lord Jesus Christ be with you. The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment · Pastor Van Jones
  7. 1:00:35 There's a peace that outlies darkness hope that's in the blood there's a future grace that's mine today that Jesus Christ has won. So I can face tomorrow for tomorrow's in your hands. All I won. And when the sea is raging your spirit is my help you'll fix my eyes on Jesus cross I'll say that Forgetting What Lies Behind, Pressing Forward
  8. 5:08 Okay. This is what Philippians and Colossians is all going to be. Whether you know people or don't know people, keep it about Jesus and always start with grace and peace. I'm on a ramp up to it with Vans text from last week and I have been running so hard. I have not heard it and I'm looking forward to hearing it this afternoon. Philippians Chapter 4:14-23 · Pastor Ray McDaniel
  9. 34:22 Always start with grace and peace. From God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I thank my God and all my remembrance of you always offering with joy. Joy is mentioned 17 times, either joy or rejoice or rejoice again, I say rejoice is mentioned 17 times in this little short book. In my every prayer for you all in view of your participation in the gospel, he is not a prima donna that thinks it's all on him. For Me to Live Is Christ
  10. 16:48 John, this is the letter to the seven churches who are in Asia. Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come and from the seven spirits who are before his throne and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, the ruler of the kings of the earth. Now, does that say that all the kings of the earth are falling right in line with what Jesus wants for them? No. Not even close but let's keep going in the text in Colossians and see what it says. He Is Indeed in First Place
  11. 33:48 That's the truth. A Gentile slave or woman, and the first converts in Philippi, woman, slave, Gentile. God is changing Paul's mind over and over and over and over again towards the gospel, towards the good news of the gospel. We might think that dramatic conversion but the further you follow along, the less he has any confidence in his own flesh, in his own self, and he has more and more confidence in Jesus. So, to the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including all the overseers and the deacons, grace to you and peace. For Me to Live Is Christ
