What does First B Jackson teach about god's judgment?

Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.

At First B Jackson, the teaching on God's judgment starts with who God is, not with a list of what He punishes. Pastor Ramon worked through Nahum holding two sides of the same truth together: God is slow to anger, merciful, gracious, and abounding in steadfast love, and He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Both halves come from God's own self-description in Exodus 34, and the whole book of Nahum lives in the tension between them. Judgment is not a contradiction of God's character. It is an expression of it.

The historical record of Nineveh's fall in 612 BC gives that teaching real weight. Nahum announced the destruction of the Assyrian capital before it happened, and the archaeological details match. The Assyrians had spent generations building their empire on brutality, and what God announced against Nineveh was a precise return of what they had handed out to others. Pastor Ramon also walked through the book of Amos, where Pastor Chris traced the same pattern: nations with no knowledge of Israel's law were still held accountable, because some things are simply wrong by any measure, and God's patience, while real, has a limit.

Running through these messages is a consistent point about where those who belong to God stand when judgment falls. The same God who is terrifying toward Nineveh is described in Nahum 1:7 as a stronghold in the day of trouble for those who take refuge in Him. Pastor Ramon kept that contrast in view throughout, and Pastor Ray's sermon in Romans pressed the same reality from the New Testament side: refusing to acknowledge God does not make a person safer; it leads, step by step, to being handed over to the very things chosen. The good news the messages keep returning to is that the offer to seek God remains open, and those who do are known by Him.

Taught from Exodus 34:6-7 · Nahum 1:2-3 · Nahum 1:7 · Romans 1:28 · Romans 3:23

The passage taught · Exodus 34

1 Yahweh said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.

3 No one shall come up with you or be seen anywhere on the mountain. Do not let the flocks or herds graze in front of that mountain.”

4 He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.
