What does First B Jackson teach about hearing from god?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At First B Jackson, the teaching on hearing from God keeps returning to one practical question: when a message comes toward you, what do you do with it? Pastor Ben and Pastor Mark both traced this through the Christmas accounts, showing how the shepherds, Mary, and Joseph each received a word through an angel and each responded by acting on it without delay. The shepherds left their flocks and went straight to Bethlehem. Mary said she was the Lord's servant and let it be as the angel had said. Joseph woke from his dream and did exactly what he had been told, and kept doing so through two more dream-messages after that. The pattern across all three is the same: hear the message, and act on it.
A word from Pastor Ray's teaching in Luke 11 sharpens what that kind of response actually looks like. When Jesus replied to the woman who called Mary blessed, he said the truly blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. The Greek word for keeping, as both Pastor Ray and the Christmas messages noted, carries the sense of guarding, protecting, and treating something as precious, the same posture a watchful shepherd has over a flock. Hearing is not enough on its own. The response God is looking for is the careful, ongoing, costly kind of keeping that does not let the word slip away.
The missions messages add another layer. Norris, speaking from decades of work in the Middle East, Nigeria, and elsewhere, described training ordinary people with no resources to simply ask the Holy Spirit what He is already saying and then obey what they hear. Anders, a missionary in Zambia, was more personal: he admitted that for a season he had been relying on ministry momentum and the encouragement of friends rather than pressing into God's word himself. What broke that open was surrender, going deeper into God rather than staying where he still had his footing. In his telling, close pursuit of God is what produces the kind of hearing that changes everything.

The passage taught · Ephesians 4:11-13
11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
12 for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ;
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
