What does First B Jackson teach about family of god?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
The messages in this series touch on the family of God in passing, but none of them treat it as a primary focus of teaching. The clearest moment comes in the Harmony of the Gospels series, where the text moves through Mark 3 and Matthew 12 and Jesus declares that whoever does the will of God is his brother, sister, and mother. That announcement comes right at the moment when his own biological family has come to pull him away, convinced he has lost his mind. The contrast is sharp: physical family ties are not what define belonging to Jesus. Doing the will of God is.
Beyond that moment, the messages do not develop the theme further in these recordings. First B Jackson's fuller teaching on the family of God may be drawn out in other parts of this series or in other messages not captured here.
Taught from Mark 3:31-35 · Matthew 12:46-50
The passage taught · Jeremiah 17
1 “The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars.
2 Even their children remember their altars and their Asherah poles by the green trees on the high hills.
3 My mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures for a plunder, and your high places, because of sin, throughout all your borders.
4 You, even of yourself, will discontinue from your heritage that I gave you. I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you don’t know, for you have kindled a fire in my anger which will burn forever.”
