What does First B Jackson teach about judging others?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At First Baptist Jackson, the teaching on judging others starts with a simple observation: the standard you apply to others is the standard that will come back to you. Pastor Brian worked through Matthew 7 and pressed the point that condemnation belongs to God alone, and that everyone you meet is carrying a hard battle you know nothing about. That does not mean staying silent when a friend is on a path of genuine sin, but it does mean dealing honestly with yourself first. The log comes out before you reach for the speck.
Pastor Ray opened Romans 14 and made the case that a large share of the judging that happens in church life is aimed at disputable matters, things that are not sin at all, where reasonable believers land in genuinely different places. His framing was direct: each person answers to Christ, not to the Christian in the next pew. God has accepted the person you are evaluating on the same basis He accepted you, and He is able to make that person stand without your help. Ray called this one of his favorite passages in all of scripture because it cuts the legs out from under the kind of conditional welcome where someone is received and then quietly managed into conformity.
Romans 2 pushed the same truth from another angle. Pastor Ray worked through Paul's warning to anyone who judges others while doing the same things, and showed that Jesus's teaching in the Sermon on the Mount widens the category considerably: murder is anger without cause, adultery is lust in the heart. The subtle sins do not get a pass. What pulls a person out of that trap is not trying harder but grasping the weight of God's own kindness, because it is precisely that kindness that leads to repentance, and understanding it makes a person far more merciful toward others.

The passage taught · 1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.
11 If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
