What does First B Jackson teach about resurrection?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At First B Jackson, the teaching on the resurrection starts with the insistence that Easter Sunday cannot be understood in isolation. Pastor Mark has returned to this conviction more than once, walking the congregation through the entire Holy Week chronologically so that the empty tomb lands with its full weight. The raising of Lazarus, the triumphal entry, the cleansing of the temple, the last supper, the betrayal, the cross, and the silence of Saturday all belong to the story. Resurrection Sunday is the climax of a full week, not a standalone event, and you cannot fully appreciate what happened that morning without sitting with what came before it.
Pastor Carl has pressed into the eyewitness texture of John 20, paying close attention to Mary Magdalene, Peter, and John and what each of them saw at the tomb. He has pointed out that the neatly left grave cloths are themselves evidence, since grave robbers would have had no reason to unwrap a body and every reason to hurry. When John entered the tomb and saw, belief came. Mary stayed outside weeping and was the first to encounter the risen Jesus, though she did not recognize him until he spoke her name. Carl has been honest about what the text does not explain, such as why Mary did not recognize Jesus at first, while holding firmly to what it does: the tomb was empty, the witnesses were real, and the resurrection is the reason the gospel is good news at all.
Pastor Aaron closed a twelve-year study of the New Testament on this same ground, landing on Luke 24 and the road to Emmaus. Two disciples walked seven miles home in grief, their hope expressed in the past tense: they had hoped Jesus was the one to redeem Israel. Jesus came alongside them, opened the scriptures from Moses and the prophets, and then made himself known at the table in the breaking of bread. The teaching at First B Jackson keeps coming back to what the angels said that first morning: why look for the living among the dead? What Jesus said would happen had happened exactly as he said, and that fact changes everything for anyone willing to receive it.

The passage taught · 1 Corinthians 15
1 Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
